Yes

My family is really font of eating. So, I pick and choose the stuff that is tasty and healthy... like whole wheat bread, honey flavored oatmeal, iced green tea etc.

I am a student and l live in a shared accomodation with my friends. I eat what my maid cooks. I don't have the time to look into what she is cooking. Moreover, not all my friends are health conscious, so I can force upon my diet regimen on to them.

I can completely relate to what you are talking about Sameer. In a situation like this, while many a times, you can not always decide the food that you will get to eat. You can still decide what NOT to eat... also how much to eat. You can try stocking up fresh fruits, milk and cereals at home. On days when you have a high calorie meal for dinner, you can choose to have less of it and eat an apple instead. Makes sense?

Agree with you Chris.

Sameer, people do not often realize the importance of right diet at your age because the effect is generally often not immediate. But, what you eat at this age has a lot to do with your health 20 years down the line. Right habits will bear fruits.

Your career and studies are of utmost importance. And do not neglect them at any cost. But, small things like stocking fruits at home & being conscious about the amount of various types of food items that you consume can go a long way in building the right foundation. Try it out. If you have any specific queries, please feel free to write to me.
